These terms govern your use of StrikeOps Academy. Please read the authorised-testing rules in particular.
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and StrikeOps Inc. (“StrikeOps Academy”, “we”, “us”), which operates strikeopsacademy.com and the StrikeOps Academy learning platform. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you use the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
StrikeOps Academy provides self-paced courses, hands-on labs, knowledge checks, practical assessments, and professional certifications (the SOCA, SOCP, and SOCE credentials) in AI-augmented offensive security. Some content is free; other content and full lab access require a subscription, and certification requires purchasing a certification exam.
We may add, change, or discontinue features. We aim to keep issued credentials verifiable even as the platform evolves.
You must meet the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction and provide accurate account details. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@strikeopsacademy.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
The offensive techniques taught here are for authorised security testing only. The StrikeOps Academy labs are the sole sanctioned target unless you hold explicit written authorisation for another system.
You must not use anything learned here against systems you are not authorised to test, attack the platform or other users, attempt to defeat exam integrity controls, share account access, scrape or resell content, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
Violations are grounds for immediate suspension or termination without refund and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Labs are provided in isolated environments for learning. You must stay within the boundaries of each exercise, must not attempt to break out of the lab environment or reach other tenants or our infrastructure, and must not store unlawful material. We may suspend lab access to protect the platform.
Subscriptions and certification exams are sold and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Prices are stated in US dollars and are exclusive of tax. Applicable sales, use, GST, or VAT is calculated and shown at checkout for your region. You authorise us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the plan you select, including renewals, until you cancel.
A 14-day cooling-off period applies to unused subscription access and unstarted certification exams. Certification exams are non-refundable once the exam environment has been provisioned or the exam has begun.
These terms do not limit any non-excludable refund or consumer-guarantee rights you have under the law of your market.
Credentials are awarded only for genuine achievement under our exam rules, which may include proctoring, SME grading, and a live viva at the top tier. You must complete assessments as your own work within the stated AI-use policy for each exam.
We may withhold or revoke a credential for cheating, misrepresentation, or a breach of exam integrity, and we may update the public verification status of a revoked credential.
The courses, labs, assessments, site, and the StrikeOps and StrikeOps Academy names and marks are owned by StrikeOps and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, publicly post, or create derivative works from the content except as expressly allowed.
Verifiable credential badges you earn may be displayed by you to show your achievement, subject to our brand and usage rules.
You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as messages, reports, or lab artefacts. You grant us a licence to use that content as needed to operate the platform, grade assessments, provide support, and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit it and that it is lawful.
The platform relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments), WorkOS (authentication), and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
The platform and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Training and certification do not guarantee any professional, employment, or engagement outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law of your market, including under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act, the UK Consumer Rights Act, Canadian consumer protection law, and applicable US law. Where such rights apply, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims and costs arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the platform or the techniques taught here, except to the extent caused by us.
You may stop using the platform and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your access for a breach of these terms or to protect the platform and its users. On termination, your right to use the content ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will survive.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States home jurisdiction of StrikeOps Inc., without limiting the mandatory consumer protections of your local market. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first, so please contact legal@strikeopsacademy.com. General questions can also be sent there.
